The Dresden Files

A scifi.com/SciFi Channel köszörülgeti a csorbát, amelyet Beowulf nevetséges méretű kardján esett. Ma adták a Dresden Akták sorozat első részét.

A hangsúly inkább a karaktereken. Nem Oscar díjas alakítások, de szerethetők.

The scifi.com/SciFi Channel seems to be on healing the wound on the fine body of the fantastic which they cut with Beowulf's ridiculous sword. Tonight the first episode of The Dresden Files was on. It's weird but there was no pilot film despite this show would deserve it: director David Carson with Robert Hewitt Wolfe and Hans Beimler screenwriter (A team, which members grow accustomed to each other on filming some Star Trek és ST Deep Space 9 epizodes.), seemingly made a good, solid TV show - from the money of Nicolas Cage.
It's a simple story: in urban fantasy frames the wizard, Harry Dresden (Paul Blackthorne) fights his fight against evil (So far, who knows? Their ways seem to be evil ways...) forces. These powers, maybe, have hounted him from his childhood because of his magic talents.

There are some visual and action effects, enough to make the story and the world acceptable, but not too many to smother the entire show. Characters are rather emphasized. Not Oscar winner acts, but at least they are likeable.
